In the interest of those who are interested in my colored pencil work, this picture is a piece I did several years ago... not my favourite subject for artwork, however, it is a necessity to do still life when one is interested in portraiture... pay your dues and you will win...

What a great lead in into this post...

A couple of weeks ago I held a giveaway...

A week ago, I made the draw and I drew more prizes than what I had originally offered, and was pleased to have six winners instead of three!

In the next post, I asked for those people to contact me with their addresses so I could mail out their parcels, it has now been 6 days and sadly, not one of those persons have gotten back to me...

I don't mean to be either rude, or harsh, and I apologize if it is taken that way, but I feel a week is long enough for people to get back to me with their addresses, and I don't believe it is my responsibility to contact each person individually to tell them they've won.... the winners need to accept some onus for entering to win a free gift.

I don't know if the reason winners do not respond is because the winners are not really truly interested in the prize or in the blog, or, in this case that I accidentally ran the draw for two weeks instead of one, and I am sorry if the reason you have not responded is perhaps due to illness, family issues, or other issues beyond your control, etc., but in fairness to those persons who took the time to check back to see if they had won and left a comment even though they did not win congratulating those who did win, I feel it is time to make another decision.

I am handling this past giveaway this way... thank you to those who commented for a second time regarding the draw, there were only a few of you... Gene (FQ1), Deepa (Floss), Anne (FQ1) (and my sister of course FQ2) you have just won your first choice from that original post... please get back to me by July 4 with your addresses and the parcel will be on its way to you!

My apologies to those whose names were previously drawn but did not respond...

I still have one floss pack and one FQ2 bundle that I am willing to redraw for (from this post)... if you would like to win either of these, then leave a comment on this post stating which one is your preference (if you only want a specific one, then state it so, if the one you want is already drawn then your name will be tossed until I come up with the first name that wants the other), I will make the draw in one week on July 4, the winner will have one week to respond to the draw with their address (and will not be contacted by me), otherwise, the prizes will once again be forfeit... for your info, the leftover floss of 75 colours are completely different than the first floss pack won by Deepa (so Deepa, you are free to enter again)!

For future giveaways, I will set up a standard set of rules so there are no questions about communication... and like I've said before, my blog my rules! I want people to enjoy visiting, and see value in, my blog (that's why I don't ask for you to become a follower to get your name in a second time, I want you to follow because you see value or interest in my blog).
